But you are glueing both humanitys age and the earths age together in your question. The fact is, science proves the earth is almost 5 billion yrs old. That says nothing of the age of man. That has not been determined by science though some would have you believe it has. The bible puts mans beginnings to approx 6,000 years ago. So you really have 2 seperate issues here. Check out that word "was" In Genesis 1:2 and verify it by was a Strongs says that word can be translated to. This is the essense to what the other guy above is talking about a time span between Earths creation and mans arrival. That one word makes the time gap appear. check it out...cya
