Practice! Your instructor is smart. When you can canter bareback, you will feel totally at ease on your horse. Just keep working at it, and it will come to you, and you will LOVE riding, I promise!

Don't worry! :) I absolutely love bareback over anything, and you WILL enjoy it, I know it! :) What I can say is just sit how u would normally, and just have your horse walk. Get used to the feeling, it won't take long till u can trot, then soon after lope/canter, then maybe one day gallop! Trust your horse, and just enjoy it. I don't know if I helped, but hopefully I did! Good luck and happy riding! :)

It is completely normal to be nervous. Just relax, if you're nervous when you riding then your horse is nervous too. Trust your horse. If you still feel nervous after this, then wear a helmet.
