wite a rule in the for, F(x.y)=(?,?) that describes the given transformation?
1. (x.y) is reflected about the x-axis
2. (x,y) isreflected about the y-axis
3. (x.y) is reflected about the line y=x
4. (x,y) is rotated 180 degrees about the origin
5. (x.y) is translated five units right and three units down
6. (x,y) is translated six units left, then reflected across the y-axis
@hayharbr Thanks! that helped so much but for 6 why wouldnt it be (-x-6,y) because you have to reflect it over the axis

1. If you reflect it in the x axis, it goes either straight up or straight down (over to the opposite side of the x axis) so it still has the same x coordinate, just the opposite y, so (x,y) → (x , -y)
2. Similar but now y stays the same: (x,y) → ( -x, y)
3. Since y = x now, switch x and y: (x,y) → (y,x)
4. The coordinates each have opposite signs: (x,y) → (-x, -y)
5. Right 5 means add 5 to x and down 3 means subtract 3 from y: (x,y) → (x + 5, y - 3)
6. Six units left means subtract 6 from x, then reflect in the y axis is like #2 so
(x,y) → (x - 6, y) → (-x + 6, y)

1. it would be (-x,y)
2. it would be (x,-y)
3. (y,x)
4. figure it out
5. figure it out
6. figure it out
