Is it safe to use shredded towels for dwarf hamster bedding?

just like a shredded washcloth?

    Well we always gave ours our old socks when they got holes in them. And sometimes rags when they got to old to use. I don’t see why not. They’ll only use it for bedding. They’re not stupid they won’t eat it. Maybe they would if it was completely shredded to the point where it looked like a ball of yarn or something, but even then. Like I said, they’re not stupid they know the difference between food and cloth. We even gave ours paper towel. They loved it!!
