Does a champage bottle only pop the first time?

So we have an already opened bottle of champagne in our fridge and I don't wanna wake people up by making it pop again. Will it pop if it's already opened?

    I don't think so. You should be good. But open it with a towel

    You might get a little bit of a pop, but nothing like the first time.
