Do I need to withdraw my application officially if I never completed it?
I applied to a college early decision and was accepted, but I had already begun my applications to a few other schools. Is it necessary to contact them to withdraw my application even though it is not fully completed?

You don't need to withdraw something that hasnt been submitted! Did you already pay the application fees? If you didn't, then you didn't apply. Nothing more to do.
