Foundation leaves my skin dry?

I use liquid foundation first, then a concealer, and then a mineral powder foundation. I have used cream foundation before, in place of the liquid but it did the same thing. Both leave my face dry. It seems to be the liquid/cream foundation that does it. I make sure I really moisturize before, but it doesn't seem to help. It is mostly around my nose, at least that is where it begins. It makes it look like my skin is peeling. Also, throughout the day, it starts to look like the foundation is breaking or cracking....what do I do?

Thanks!

Use a better moisturizer. Use products WITHOUT salicylic acid because it dries out the skin. That includes face wash and blemish heal make-up.

As for the cracking, try using a primer before applying your makeup. Fills pores and evens out application of the foundation. I've also noticed my skin has cleared up significantly with the primer.

Try BB cream. Its like a tinted moisturizer but with more skin benefits and more coverage.

If you are trying to get good coverage i reccomend revlon colorstay foundation. it has spf in it so you stay moisturized and it covers very well. i use that with mineral powder and im good to go. it lasts all day.

because that is way too much stuff you are piling in ur face. try this routine. moisturizer or primer and then ur liquid foundation then set it with loosing powder.

  • Try tinted moisturiser instead.
