Taking an AP class, sophomore year of high school?

Okay, so next year I'm taking AP Global, I'm going to be a sophomore in high school. I'm a good student, I get good grades, but I am still kind of nervous. My teacher told me we will have to do a lot of work, and be very focused. What is an AP class like? Do I get a college credit and if so, what exactly are those? Thanks so much!

You'll be fine :) At the end of the course, you take an AP test which is pretty much just a cumulative final exam. Depend on where you apply for college, and depending on what you score on the test (1-5) you can get college credit. College credit pretty much is a free class. It means you don't have to take the class and the more credits you go into college with, the more fun classes you can take pretty much.
