There's no way to know because Crossfit has so little standardization. Your local affiliate could has a 50 calories WOD and mine could have a 300 calorie WOD. Regardless, Crossfit is a poor way to exercise and exercise is a poor way to lose fat.
Check out this article from Wikipedia --> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CrossFit
Note the following excerpt.
"Makimba Mimms, who suffered injuries while performing a CrossFit workout on December 11, 2005, at Manassas World Gym in Manassas, VA under the supervision of an uncertified trainer,[34] claimed that CrossFit poses an elevated risk of rhabdomyolysis. He successfully sued his trainers and was awarded $300,000 in damages.[35]
According to Dr. Stuart McGill, a professor of spine biomechanics at the University of Waterloo, the risk of injury from some CrossFit exercises outweighs their benefits when they are performed with poor form in timed workouts. He added there are similar risks in other exercise programs but noted that CrossFit's online community enables athletes to follow the program without proper guidance, increasing the risk.[36]
Articles on many websites criticize CrossFit for its lack of periodization, lack of quality-control accreditation standards for trainers or affiliates, and illogical or random exercise sequences.[25][37]
Some publications have raised concerns that CrossFit promotes a potentially dangerous atmosphere that encourages people, particularly newcomers to CrossFit, to train past their limits, resulting in injury.[38][39]"
Crossfit gyms are affiliates and have considerably less quality control and safety measures in place than franchise or corporate structured fitness gyms. They have been criticized by many professionals for their high risk training methods including Dr. McGuff, coauthor of this book --> http://www.bodybyscience.net/home.html/?page_id=18 . They represent a poor choice for a beginner and a questionable choice for others. And, they have limited facilities and a poor range of equipment.
Any exercise will burn calories but no exercise will burn fat unless your diet allows it. You can burn fat in your sleep or you can run all day and never burn any fat. It all depends on your diet.
Fat loss is determined by calorie control, not by exercise. Good exercises for burning calories are speed walking, biking, swimming, dancing, etc. and ANY other physical activity which makes you move a lot of weight for a long time. But NO exercise is good for burning fat if you eat too many calories because you can always eat more calories than you can burn.
Too many people waste energy and time because they do not understand this one simple point. The result is too often giving up in frustration, abandoning gym memberships they continue to pay for, and many other unnecessary problems not the least of which is a lack of success.
An average person must walk about five miles every day for a week to burn the calories equivalent to a pound of body fat. So, unless you think walking about five miles a day (or doing an equivalent amount of exercise) with no guarantee of fat loss makes sense, focus your fat loss program on diet.
Diet for fat loss. Exercise for fitness.

ClickMaster is an idiot...sorry, but "exercise is not a good way to lose fat"? He is right in the sense that there is no way to know how many calories you will burn, and in reality, it doesn't matter. High-intensity workouts like crossfit will boost your metabolism and build muscle, which means that you will burn fat while just sitting around doing nothing. Not to mention the benefits for your heart, lungs, and overall wellness.

You are constantly burning calories..Just because you are buring 200 while you work out doesn't mean the other 1000 just sit there. You'll probably lose a few lbs quick but once your body gets use to that routine it will just stop. Your metabolism will also get slower because you aren't eating enough. The body will start storing fat which will make it harder to lose.
