How to replace the ashtray light in '99 Gmc Sub?

I do not understand how to open the area of the ashtray to install new lamp == it looks to be that the plastic dress plate needs to be popped out and since it is a '99 I am reluctant to try to move that plastic without some professional advice == is it possible to access this area from removal of the glove box ?? Thanks for the help .....

    YOU PROBABLY HAVE TO CHANGE IT VIA THE GLOVE BOX OR FROM UNDER THE DASH. NOT WORTH THE COST OR BOTHER. JUST QUIT SMOKING ! PROBLEM SOLVED !
