Battery charger question (12volt)?

I use a 12 volt battery to run the blower on a small propane furnace. Can I have the battery charger hooked up and plugged in while running the appliance?

Probably not. Chargers work by how much current the battery draws at certain voltages and having another load on it would mess that up.

There are power supply/chargers made for that, but not regular car battery chargers.

I can't see any problem with doing so. If you have a lap-top computer you can charge it up while you browsing, - same thing! So if the charger output is around 4 amp then you should be ok. In the 80's I used to run a C.B radio with 100 watt 'kicker' on a car battery - charging as I was using it.

On all the battery chargers I have bought it says right in the manual not to run any motors with it. They should be used as intended and that's for charging batteries.
