How to find out if a triangle is right with 3 points using slope ?
So this is the question: the vertices of triangle ABC are A(1,7) B(9,3) C(3,1)
1. Prove ABC is a right triangle.
2. Which angle is the right angle?
3. Which side is the hypotenuse ?

Find the slope of each line (slope = change in y divided by change in x)
If two lines have perpendicular slopes - either undefined / zero, or m and -1/m, then you have found the two sides adjacent to the right angle.
If none of the pairs of slopes are perpendicular (slopes m and -1/m) then you do not have a right triangle.
