The steroids I had to take while on Taxotere chemotherapy caused me to stay awake as well. My doctor recommended that I stay in bed, even if I wasn't sleeping, so that my body could be at rest. Later, I tried taking a light sleep aid that would help me get about four hours sleep. I hated doing that because it was such a vicious cycle . . . chemo with steroids to prevent reactions (uppers) followed by a sleep aid (downers) to get some rest. Fortunately, this was only for four or five days during each cycle.

    Talk to your doctor.

No Streoid,Don't eat a heavy meal late in the day. A light snack before bedtime, however, may help you sleep.

If the steroids are prescribed by your doctor you should talk to them and see if they can help adjust your medication. If they are not prescribed.... Who knows what you put in your body, could be anything... so, I would be careful mixing any other drugs with what you have already taken. Try running until your body is exhausted then try using herbs or tea to slow your mind.
