Is this proof that trolling is now an accepted form of journalism?

An article where a reporter asks the commissioner of the NFL if he would let his non-existent son play football. http://m.espn.go.com/nfl/story?storyId=8910355&top...

Is trolling now legitimized in society?

Update:

No it really is not a legit question. First of all, he is the commissioner of the game. Of COURSE he's going to say he would allow his son to play. Second of all, he DOESN'T HAVE a son. It's a ridiculous question.

With the recent realization that former NFL football players are dying much younger than the norm,, and many suffer from neurological illness, it is not trolling it is a valid question.

Well I wouldn't call asking a question about a hypothetical child journalism it's some new form of advertising a weird cross between infomercial and live shtick.
