What happened to the Tasaday? It was popular in the 1960's and created a lot of controversy, are they real?

I am intrigued because there was no mention of them for a long time! Is it a hoax that they are Stone Age people or are they truly are a unique group of people similar to the Stone Age? Thanks in advance.

    It's a hoax, and it's a total shame that's why nobody cares to talk about it anymore
