i got my 1st radiation and it was weird because i had to lie on my stomach?
so i couldnt see anything happening and i kept thinking of the scene in resident evil where the people get cut up by laser beams. well they spent a while lining everything up exactly right then it only took 30 seconds. but what would happen if i sneezed or there was a earthquake?

Don't sneeze!
Every treatment only lasts about 30 seconds. It is always the lining up that takes time.
If you were to move (sneeze, earthquake, whatever) it means that particular treatment would hit the wrong thing.
Any single treatment probably wouldn't matter. It is having the treatment every day in the same spot for weeks is what kills the cancer.

It seems odd that they would not secure you to the table. I had daily treatments and they built a custom mask for me and locked it to the table. The machines these days are a lot more precise and less damaging to the surrounding cells, but that means they need to be aimed with greater precision.
If you are anxious, they can give you anything from a Xanax to a mild sedative. Of course, you can't drive if you are sedated. I basically took a short nap during my treatments.
