Unexplained abdominal pain, please help?
Okay, so I've had this abdominal pain for over a month. I wouldn't normally be seen unless it was really bothering me, in this case it is. The pain is under my rib cage, I feel like I'm constantly nauseated, and I get sharp pains from time to time. I barely eat, and I'm loosing a lot of sleep. My doctor thought maybe ovarian cysts, so he ordered an UltraSound of my lower and upper abdomen. Called the doc before the test to explain the loss of sleep & nausea and was told to take tums. I had taken these before, didn't help so I tried them again. Same result. So I get the Ultrasound, was in tears most of the time and rushed home from the pain. Doc's office calls me back with the results and says there was a glitch so they were unsure and I'm to call general surgery to get a scope done. Went to the ER to rule out kidney or gallstones (since the 1st Ultrasound was inaccurate) and everything came back normal. I know things take time, but I also know that I'm not making this up and I don't have time to waste. I don't understand why we can't figure out what's wrong. Does anyone have decent ideas or suggestions?
Things I have tried: Coconut water, Pepto Bismal, ProBiotics, Soup, Crackers, Green Tea, IcePops, mashed potatoes, carrots, Phyzeme, Acid Reducers, and tea. most of those things didn't work. Coconut water brings some relief but not much.
Please, only helpful answers. No rude remarks. I'm already in tears. Please and Thank you.
