What do you believe is the important lesson of "The Young Crab and his Mother"?

THE YOUNG CRAB AND HIS MOTHER

"Why in the world do you walk sideways like that?" said a Mother Crab to her son. "You should always walk straight forward with your toes turned out."

"Show me how to walk, mother dear," answered the little Crab obediently, "I want to learn."

So the old Crab tried and tried to walk straight forward. But she could walk sideways only, like her son. And when she wanted to turn her toes out she tripped and fell on her nose.

I would greatly appreciate your insights and opinion on what you believe is the important lesson contained in this tale.

Thank you!

The classic saying of "don't do as I do but do as I say" that I hear from constant parents that failed at there own lives but want there children to strive further. Such as when a parent never finished high school and pushes there children to. The child finds it trivial to try since not even the greatest person they know can complete the task.

There was a great saying by a famous author whom I can't remember. "Those that can't write [great books] - teach! [writing]

The moral is, if you're going to teach something, check to see if you are right first!

If you walk strangely people will know you've got the crabs.
