someone posted on my facebook "you were given this life because you were strong enough to live it"?

but I think what happens is just random. should i say that, or just say thanks?

    Just say 'thanks'. They likely only meant well and were just trying to be supportive.

    While you have every right to privately feel that what happens is just random, this is not the time for an argument. Focus on the best of intentions behind that person's words (however misguided you deem them to be), and simply thank them.

    That's typical of the kind of happy horse**** christians like to say. You are right that nobody "gave you" your particular life. It's just random chance, which gives you the freedom to do with it what you choose. I would just ignore them.

    Say, "Thank you for the compliment." They are calling you emotionally strong. They are saying you can deal with your current hardships.
