Does Superman need to breathe?
In the trailer for DC Universe Online he bathes in sunlight close to the sun without a mask of any kind.
But in most cartoons, he wears a mask when going into space or water.

It really depends on the version of Superman.
Some have needed to use breathing apparatuses, others have not.
Some have matured in power from absorbing yellow radiation to the point they do not need to breathe as long as they remain within the reach of said radiation, others have not.
Again, it really is dependant on which version of Superman one is dealing with.

The Earth One Superman does not need to breathe (though he can). He can stop his heart at will. He does not need to eat or sleep or rest.

Cartoon is different from the comics. Cartoon versions are weak.
Superman doesn't need to breathe as long as he is under the radiation of a yellow sun.

Clearly he is the worst super hero of all time.....Why have an invincible superhero ? And everytime a villain uses kryptonite on him he acts so surprised even though it happens every episode....like....stop fricken telling everyone that it's your only weakness
Cartoons are fact, movies are ****. He needs to breathe. The end.
