How to improve in shot put?

I'm a girl and I'm 5' 3" and weigh 140 so I'm on the smaller side of the people who throw shot. In practice we do things like bench (my max is 95), dead lift (max 200), thrusters (max 65). We'll also do circuts with box jumps, burpies, push ups, famers walks, planks.For warm ups we do a med ball workout and run stairs. I also play field hockey in the fall so I'm good at cardio.

In winter I pr'ed at 22 11, but shortly after I hurt my not throwing shoulder and couldn't do a lot of upper body work. I want to get to 26 by the end of the spring season, which is the end of May. Is there anything else I should be concentrating workout wise?

I use the glide to throw, so do you have any tips for that?

    Use good form and technique at the right angle. Try learn more about rotational technique if you can and work at your spin. For glide to throw, you can always use lighter sizes shots whenever you are practicing which will give you a better feel for your technique. If your lower body are weak, your legs and calves need to be quite strong in order for you to get a powerful lift. There are not much you can do for your upper arm strength because of your injury. If you are able to do triceps and incline bench exercises, it will helps part of your muscles extension when you let go of your shot put. You might need to strengthen your abs and obliques by using cable pulley exercises on both sides or even wood chop exercises which will help your torso as well and also the energy transfer movement of your body.
