Making a tazer powered from a wall outlet?

I have a tazer that I'm using to power a potato gun. It has a small battery inside that I would like to take out and replace with a car battery or a wall outlet. I'm pretty sure that I will need a resistor or two, I'm just not sure how to put it all together.

    WHAT IS THE BATTERY VOLTAGE ?

    WHAT IS THE CURRENT THAT RUNS POTATO GUN ?

    WITHOUT KNOWING THEM FIRST, NO ONE COULD CALCULATE THE CORRECT VALUE OF RESISTOR TO BE USED TO DROP THE VOLTAGE.
