nike airs are ugly? yes or no!?

Ok basically someone today who was wearing nike airs and joggers told me i had my granddad shoes on (they were vans designed like boats) and said i should get some nike airs, I just made a joke of it and said im not a fan of nike airs. Now to be honest i think nike airs are the most hideous shoes on this planet, and why people splash £60+ (uk) on them is beyond me. so do you like nike airs?

BQ would you rather have his airs or vans like mine?

I wear vans because their slip ons, cheap, and comfortable. If you don't have outfits to go with them their ugly. 
Nike airs are cool if your in gym class but definately not casual wear.
Nike sb dunks are good and still comfortable, they got more style to them.
