Does this sound good for a workout? Also what foods should I eat before and after?

I'm 15, 5'1" and 140 pounds. I am a big

Boned girl and I'm trying to slim down for summer and also tone up for joining swim team and tennis next year. I was thinking of doing this:

15 straight leg crunches(upper abs)

20 bicycles(lower abs)

10 push ups(arms and abs)

20 squats(butt and legs)

30 second plank(abs)

One minute leg lifts(lower abs and back)

Repeat 3-4 times

I need a cardio routine though. I walk a lot all over the place everyday, at least a mile a day and I own a treadmill but don't like using it because I have joint issues in my ankles knees and hips. Any suggestions for cardio? After I slim down I'm planning on using my neighborhoods rec center pool everyday in the summer to get back my swimming muscles. Anything else??

The idea that you can exercise off weight is just not true. Execise tones you and keeps you fit. To lose

weight you must EAT LESS. At 140, you need to lose about 15 to 20 pounds (and don't diagnose yourself as "big".) So what should you do? Go on a balanced, healthy diet of no more than 1200 calories a day. Lots of fruit, vegetables, salad, limited quantities of protein and whole grains. Go see your doctor first. As far as

exercise goes: The best cardio for a girl your age is walking (quickly, not strolling), bicycling, swimming

(excellent cardio and it will help you improve your swimming so you can join the team. Tennis, like any other game, is a matter of practice. If you stick to walking, tennis and swimming, you don't need any of those other exercises.
