Could we stop publishing the names of mass shooters?

No. The mass shooters name needs to be published so that malicious rumours don't get spread about other people who are innocent. The public need to be informed so they can make informed decisions and not get caught up in gossip.

Publicity is commonly a motivating factor of those who seek to get away with the crime like serial killers. These mass shootings have been done by lunatics unmotivated by such accomplishments.
