Yahoo Answers is shutting down on May 4th, 2021 (Eastern Time) and the Yahoo Answers website is now in read-only mode. There will be no changes to other Yahoo properties or services, or your Yahoo account. You can find more information about the Yahoo Answers shutdown and how to download your data on this help page.

Since yahoo in its infinite wisdom shut down the link to the classic homepage anyone have another work around?

Yahoo has redirected http://ipv4.yahoo.com/ to the new version, apparently too many happy relieved customers were using it, happy relieved customers don't create the revenue they desire. Until another option is found, I plan to send daily complaints to http://feedback.help.yahoo.com/feedback.%E2%80%A6, if we don't complain they believe we accept the change, we all lose. Please join me.

Update:

Hey Cleo, thanks for your knowledge and support. I'm feeling the same way, trying other homepages but haven't found one that makes me happy yet.

Hey Barkley, dated a girl with an indoor cat that would unroll the whole roll of T P, I couldn't understand it either.

Hey Smeagin, I know that link still works, probably only because Internet Explorer has compatibility problems (thanks Microsoft) if they fix those I expect it to go. Yahoo needs the complaints, they worked for coke and windows.

I am sure you are right about the ipv4 address. I regularly send feedback to yahoo about their horrible change and have switched to MSN for homepage and mail. I check back to see if there are any work arounds and to scope out Answers, but nothing. After inviting Yahoo into my home for 15 years, I kind of feel like I lost a friend. IMO, anyone who says they like the home page must have a lot of time to waste and doesn't mind having a corporation target ads to them and to know all about their browsing habits and interests.

What you are asking is like telling a magazine you do not like the new format and they should publish 2 editions to make you happy. There is no way Yahoo could maintain 2 versions of the home page. They are already shutting down sites such as Yahoo Avatars and Groups to save money. The link you probably had was just used during the transition. Now that the new page is fully implemented the old page is gone.

BTW: I love the new page with the scrolling news.

is truthfully trouble-free. i admire enjoying solutions interest, it extremely is an relaxing waste of time. not as relaxing as merely messin approximately in boats. i take advantage of Thunderbird and different nonsence that's FOSS compliant and meets GNU standards. is alsoi very secure and rapid becuase that's sparkling code. you could /push ipv4 and ipv6 however any equipment, merely sell off the advert bots and be happy. many human beings i understand use Evolution, some use Emacs and nevertheless some use Mutt or YAMC. that's a call, to be unfastened. and happy.

Despite what many say tjis link still works for most of us. It reverts each time you reopen but if you use it and then bookmark that URL you can use that each time. . http://us.mc598.mail.yahoo.com/mc/launchIt
