Dear Alan:
I do not know how long it takes to get a hearing on an appeal. I'm not that good at figuring things out myself. I just wanted you to be aware of the fact that the link you gave to get back the classic version of mail (http://us.mc598mail.yahoo.com/mc/launch) does not work.
I tried the Yahoo Help maze myself and got dizzy going around in circles trying to get my old version of mail back. I asked the Answers Team and got 2 answers including yours but nothing worked. I'm starting to think that Yahoo does what it wants to regardless of how it's members feel about the changes.
I hope things work out for you and I'm sorry I can't be of any help.

If you win an appeal you are always notified and this can take from a day or two up to 7 months depending on the backlog of appeals.
If you lose an appeal often they don't bother to notify you so if you don't hear anything for more than 7 months you can assume that you lost the appeal.
