Is it okay if I get streaks into my perm hair?

I was thinking about getting it dyed. But I can't do that to my perm hair because it will fall out. But, what if I get streaks into my perm hair? Is that okay? Or what about highlights? I'd rather have streaks though. If not, then highlights? Please let me know. And if it matters, I am an African American with naturally curly hair.

in case you bleach your hair. you may not get a perm your hair will burn and fry off. (reckoning on the chemicals you have/have had interior the previous. pass back 7years) perms have fantastically centred chemicals that injury down the bonds on your hair and reform it to which ever technique and rods you have carried out and through this, in case you have already bleached your hair (bleach breaks down the bonds aswell and eliminates coloration pigment) this weakens your hair in basic terms making it a extra valuable canidate for having breaking on the muse once you get your perm desire i helped

Yeah I think that would look fine! its creative and original, go for the streaks, highlights should be your second choice.
