How to avoid the single room supplement?
I am hoping to travel to Ireland in the fall. I will most likely be going by myself. If possible, I would like my own room but not pay the extravagant extra fees for a single room supplement. Any ideas how to do this? I was hoping to take a tour (Globus). The single room supplement is about $236.

You can travel independently and pay for your own room, transportation, food, entrance fees ... Generally, you can do this more cheaply than doing a tour, but it's more work to arrange everything on your own. You're not going to be able to stay in a room by yourself and avoid the fee on a tour.
