Our dentist hurt my daughter.?
My 14 year old daughter was getting nova cane to do a filling. All of a sudden my daughter jerked her head and started crying in pain, She said it felt like acid was on her face. I looked at her face and she had a big white streak going down beside her nose and cheek.. I'm wondering if the dentist missed and shot the nova cane into her cheek instead of her gum. Any help would be appreciated. :)

The injection site is in the oral cavity, but the target nerve is higher and in the cheek area--that's why needles have length.
It's most likely she was describing the symptoms of actually getting numb. The whiteness is the capillaries constricting due to the anesthetic's properties.
