Atheists, how often do you thank God for making you an atheist?

I thank God every day for giving me enough sense to realize that He does not exist.

You?

I am of course paraphrasing Ricky Gervais' common sign-off of "Thank you to God, for making me an atheist."

Gotta love Ricky Gervais. My usual comment is that "I'm a very devout atheist."

Atheism can have 2 origins, knowing what GOD is, or not knowing what it is. If you know what it is, you call it with it's real modern times name, and you stay far from Religions, if you don't know what it is , you will not call it by any name and stay far from Religions. And believe me, one can easily live by ignoring it. Knowing it is a bargain if it fits in your studies, for urban and daily life it has no real value.

I am a teacher of GOD, I am a man of GOD, and I am since more than 55 years now an atheist in the view of religious belief and interpretation of what GOD is. I do not pray and I do not pay, If I have a problem, I act. If you pray, sit around and wait that money falls from the sky, take all your time, you will die poor, exhausted and starved.

I commonly in effortless terms say "Thank God" if i'm being sarcastic. I right away use "Thank Goodness" or only "sturdy!" i develop right into a instructor, and stepped forward a habit of keeping off words that would have been seen as blasphemous interior the class room. even even with the undeniable fact that i did no longer think of of the words as offensive, i stumbled on it much less distracting to no longer use them. i will swear, blaspheme, use scatology or be as profane simply by fact the subsequent individual while i choose, whether that's a decision.

Reminds me of a M*A*S*H episode where Honeycut was talking to a patient.

Capt. B.J. Hunnicut: Would you like to talk to Father Mulcahy?

The Sergeant: Okay, but I'm an atheist.

    Capt. B.J. Hunnicut: Really?

    The Sergeant: Swear to God.

I bet Gawd that if He could prove that He existed, I would be a believer.

I won the bet, I'm still an atheist.

"By simple common sense I do not believe in God."

Each day I wake up at the crack of dawn and pray to the sky "thank you baby jeebis, thank you lord, you have made your book so stupid I cannot help but not believe in it"

Then I eat babies foetuses and worship satan, cause I'm a god damn atheist!

A grown man giving people the finger says a lot about your maturity, Ray.

God laughs for he knows your time is coming.
