What topics to cover in a 5minute PowerPoint? See Details.?

Okay, for my final project (Supervisors Class) we were to write a 5 page paper and create a 10minute PowerPoint which the teacher just switched to 5minutes. I did an interview of a business and reflected off 5 chapters in the book (I find it easier to type a paper this way). Now that I'm about to start the PowerPoint, I know I should explain this business which is a car company. I'm just not sure which topics to discuss that I don't have to go into long discussions since it has to be only 5 minutes. Anyone have any ideas what for topics I should use? I already interviewed my friend on this business and wrote the paper, just have a mental block. Help please?

I'm not sure that you need to explain much about a car company. Do you mean a company that manufactures cars or a car dealership? Your audience is likely to know a fair amount about either.

So start with the end- what are the key points you want to get across to the audience? What did you discover about supervision in this company? Particularly, which points do you think will surprise your audience or be useful to them? Then go back and look at what they need to know to understand the points you're going to make.

I just had to do a 2 minute presentation, with only 3 PPT slides! There were 14 of us, and we had to fit into a short time schedule. One person had a timer on his Mac that counted down the seconds where we could see them while we talked. It was very interesting- people were really able to get across some major points in that time without boring the audience. I like the fact that your teacher reduced the time- no one will be able to drone on and on about stuff you already know!

Keep the text on your slides short- bulleted points of 2-4 words. You want the audience listening to you, not reading the slide.

One way to organize it, since you seem to have done your paper this way, is what the book said and what you found in your interview:

    Krasny and Goldstein say X.

    Interview showed:

    A.

    B.

    C.

    Next slide.
