Cheap Wedding Catering

As others have said, the cost savings is not worth the hassle and stress of cooking things yourself. While you could go with a traditional caterer, consider catering by a grocery store. A large one near me has catering vans and provides elegant buffets and even beautiful wedding cakes. They are priced better that most restaurants or other catering services as well. A package deal with both the dinner and the wedding cake could cost far less than $4,000! I have seen weddings that had catering by a pizza parlor,and by Hooters, and even by KFC. I'm not recommending that you go that route, but it gives you an idea of the flexibility some people have for their wedding receptions. I have also been to many weddings where the church hall had a kitchen, and the church had their ladies groups operate a catering service. Those often turn out to be a double bargain because you often get to use the church hall free.
