Why does Yahoo think N$gro is a bad word... when it isn't at all?

Question

There's the united n$gro college fund, and also present in MLK's greatest speeches. Why does Yahoo block it out?  It's not like I said something BAD... is it?

Because you're not speaking Spanish.  If you're speaking English, what's wrong with Black?
Also, because while the word itself isn't automatically offensive, 99.9% of people who want to use it are trying to insult people.

That's my answer.

This strikes me as a slightly milder form of a white person whining "why can't I say the N word? It's not faaaaaaaaaaaair."  (Will their lives be immeasurably better if they can?)  It's almost as bad as people who say things like "some of my best friends are [insert a race or cultural group other than one's own]" or "I'm not racist, but..."
