Were you a friend of Tyler? (final notice)?

Dear Yahoo Answers,

We regret to inform you Tyler died April 28th. After a short but courageous battle with a very aggressive cancer he leaves us a legacy of humour, love and hope... and a hole that will never be filled.

Tyler did not believe in God or angels, but it was important to him to know that he would be remembered (with a smile of course).

With much love and gratitude for all he received here,

Tyler's Mum and Dad

Tyler was a kind-hearted boy who was able to take some of the knowledge he acquired from having cancer and use it in a way that was beneficial for others. I think that's awesome. He spent more of his time here contributing and providing help than seeking it for himself. From his activity here it's evident that he had the mindset of a giver who enjoyed being of service. It's never fair that someone so young and so lively has a horrible illness, but he never seemed to dwell on that here or to self-pity. I admire his pluck. I also appreciate that he was so intelligent, wise, and astute. His answers were usually spot on.

I'm so profoundly sorry for your loss. I will definitely remember Tyler with a smile. He sent me a message here that just had ************** and said it was because he wanted to give me stars. How could you not adore someone like that?

I haven't been participating here long, but I'm shocked and sorry to hear that.

Tyler was an intelligent, good-humoured and responsible contributor here, whose advice I'm sure helped many others.

I'm very sorry for your loss. I wasn't familiar with your sons answers but I understand he was a great contributor.

    My condolences.

Edit: I was just reading back through some of his answers; even as someone who is, without wishing to sound crass, used to seeing death, it still gets me how someone can be here one minute and gone the next. It seems like your son remained positive right towards the end. An inspiration for everyone.

My thoughts are with you at what must be a very difficult time.

His answer here says it all: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AnPtK...

I am so sorry to hear this we got attached to him rather quickly.

He learned so much, so fast and was always sweet and kind to everyone. He was so much older than his years. I will really miss him.

Thank you so much for taking the time to let us know. It is easy to see where he got his bravery and thoughtfulness from.

He was a very sweet and intelligent boy who genuinely enjoyed helping others simply for that purpose; and courageous indeed.

I am so very sorry for your loss.
