Is it worth getting NVIDEA Titan, or the one down from it (can't rem name off top o me head, but its duel)?

one below nvidia titan is the gtx680...

lets make a comparision :

ALL FPS ARE IN ULTRA 2600x1600 RES..if you play below that say in 1080p res,youl get a lot more from both...anything above 60 is useless I say

titan is useful only if you play at extremely high resolution(above 2560*1600)...............since it has 6GB VRAM made especially for extreme res gaming..

otherwise, go for 680 without a question...the extra 400$ isnt worth it to get 20fps more......instead buy anohter 680 for 1200 total and put it in SLI and you can potentilly get 40fps more than titan in all...titan is more of a luxury without value for money,....680 is raw power gaming card with great value for money,....practically, there's no reason going for titan as 680 will run anythin titan can run just as well

YOU MAY HAVE THOUGH OF GTX 690 Which offers better performance than titan for 1000$...its basically two 680 cards in SLI mode put in a box........athough performance shud be double, practically little less is achieved..

forget titan..totally not worth it..

get 680 its well worth it...get two if you play at very high resolution(52inc+ tv or 3-4 monitors combine)....

if for some reason you cant get two AND need two, get gtx 690 for which will be 10% slower than two 680s but good if you need just one card with max performance

If you got a 1000 dollars to spend then get it down from that is a gtx 690 dual gpu but slower than the gtx 680 the fastest gpu graphic card as one answer made a quote about it

Unless you need the lower power consumption and smaller size, getting a HD 7970 GHz edition is a much better value. Almost the same performance as the 680, but $200 less
