Can dogs have sympathy symptoms of the owners diseases?

I was diagnosed with menieres disease several months ago this causes vertigo, tenitus (ringing in the ears) and pressure in the ears. Today my dog started acting very strangely shaking her head like something was in her ears I checked there was nothing in there I'm wondering if she's not having ringing in the ears like I do. I had heard once that dogs can take on sympathy symptoms for the owners diseases. Is this true? Does anybody know of anything like that?

    No.

If you're acting sickly, your dog may act a little depressed, but they do not show 'sympathy symptoms.

Your dog probably has an inner ear infection.

Being afraid of loud noises, movements and just basically scared has nothing to do with MS. Trembling, has everything to do with fear, or a genuine medical condition. Dogs have no clue what disease their owner may or may not have, but they can smell certain illnesses and medications inside the person. Dogs can not "fake" something, they do not have the deviousness or the mental capacity to do so, even if they so desired. Not only are you lacking in knowledge about MS, you are seriously lacking in knowledge about dogs in general, and so it seems is your VET!!! Your dogs seems to be, from your very brief post to be suffering from anxiety and fear, compunded by the fact she is improperly socialized. Hire an extremely well qualified trainer to address these issues and get a new vet, because your current one is an ignorant fool also, you personally need to start researching dogs on the web. Join your local kennel club, they will be a wealth of information for you.
