Looking for some constructive feedback. What do you think . . . ?

I had this assignment for a class in which I had to come up with a life's mission statement. Something in terms of how I want to live in all areas of life. This is what I came up with:

My mission is to live deeply in each moment in order to alleviate the suffering of both myself and others.

- I vow to do no harm and treat all I meet with peace, kindness, and compassion. I will live simply, with present moment awareness, and practice the virtue of generosity by sharing with those in need.

- I vow to take care of this body every day, with adequate exercise and proper nutrition, to aid in the care of the mind so I can have the strength to keep myself open to the suffering of the world.

- Above all else, I am to stress the importance of skillfulness in all I do physically, verbally, and mentally.

What do y'all think? I would appreciate any comments or feedback. Thank you & be well :)

Update:

@ Light & Truth: even though I don't believe in the Christian notion of 'God', I really appreciated your input, as it assisted me in further contemplation. I agree, scripture/text study and prayer/meditation are very important, as they are needed for the development of both heart and mind, which I barely address in this statement. I think something might be added about the development of heart-center energy.

I reckon you got all bases well covered. You might want a proviso in there covering the fact that you're only human and can't be expected to be perfect.

The power of positive thinking is still alive, but don't skip having fun and forgetting yourself from time to time. You may find that you are most valuable when you are less than tediously self-conscious. But, good job! You are a self-motivator and thus you can inspire others in that regard.

    That is good.

But since this is the RS section, how about.

    - I vow to be obedient to God's commandment as I currently understand them, and always seek the spirit, having a humble and contrite heart, serving others in front of myself. To do so I will engage in personal scripture study and prayer each day to draw closed to God.

Live for pleasure and to avoid pain.

Keep life simple, and avoid verbosity.

I think you just paraphrased the Bible.
