There were two Stand Down orders given, and as of yet we don't know where they came from

what form of protection tension are we meant to have at a consulate in a distant places country to reserve to stand down or up? Does Iran have a protection tension presence at their consulates right here? As to who can give a stand down order, you guys are forgetting something, the Obama administration does not recognize the 'rules'. Where they are concerned, there ARE no rules. The ends have always justified the means. Anyone could have given it.

Imagine if Washington had ordered a "stand-down" at Trenton,

Lincoln ordered one at Gettysburg,

or Roosevelt ordered another at Pearl Harbor?

I heard on tv that ONLY the Commander-in-chief can give

an order to "stand down", so that puts at rest who gave the

order, doesn't it? Hillary said she didn't plan to pursue any

more politicians career or run for president, so we'll see,

won't we? I do think she'd like to be the First Female

President.

Only the President can order any "stand down."

The military, by design obviously, can not order themselves to stand down in any case.

Now, the military in some cases may not respond anyway for whatever reasons, BUT they can not

deny support on their own orders.
