Why would my caravan have shifting problems?
it has plenty of fluid. sometimes it works fine, sometimes won't get into third. Just tuned it up and changed oil. about 111,000 miles.

I have went to school for mechanics. Its a transmission problem. Your transmission is going bad. Which in turn, will cause it to start slipping, shifting hard, and now wont even go into 3rd. Best thing you can do is replace it.

well sounds like you got transmission problems sometimes not putting transmission oil it then realize it needs it you may have already messed up the transmission but make sure you checking the transmission correctly check it while hot. do you any oil leaks.

sometimes the solenoid valves get clogged with metal flakes and garbage.
this is why you dont buy chrysler.
