1.) Bioshock
2.) Bioshok: Infinite
3.) Depends. Fallout have good story lines and so does the latest Bioshock. I vote Fallout.
4.) Fallout
5.) Both, actually. And really hard to tell. The new Fallout is coming out this year for PS4 and the latest Bioshock was really good. And the past games were really good to.
6.) Fallout. Only because i like the style of the games.

1. Fallout has existed WAY LONGER, but abandoned its roots at Fallout 3. BioShock is the 'spiritual successor' to System Shock [2]. Overall I'm going to say Fallout is a better series, but that's because 1 & 2 are amazing.
2. I feel that Plasmids/Vigors allow for more interesting approaches to combat as compared to just guns/melee weapons with a V.A.T.S. So I'm going to say BioShock has better action, but Fallout 3 has better overall gameplay. [Because it's a true RPG, and at least Bethesda didn't wreck that.]
3. BioShock. The storyline for BioShock [1] is impressive, the storyline for Infinite is a revelation. While Fallout's stories aren't bad; they're just not spectacular. Especially because Bethesda chose to focus on free-roam over story. [As they always do.] The story for New Vegas is absolute drivel.
4. BioShock. While the wastes of Post-Apocalyptic America are very well designed, and they're 'deep' like Elder Scrolls.
[Meaning there might be something SUPER-DUPER BADASS hidden 5 feet away from you, but if you don't move these boxes, and look at the right angle, you'll never see it.]
Where as BioShock, because it has a 'linear' level system, you're consistently corralled through specific points of Rapture and Columbia; this being so they can put IMMENSE amounts of details in tiny spaces. So BioShock takes atmosphere with QUALITY over QUANTITY.
5. Both series are incredibly popular. [I've been playing both since Fallout[1] and System Shock] and while Fallout appeals to the much harder RPG crowd [though less than it used to] BioShock appeals to just about anyone. Granted the first one is a little dreary, and the gameplay could've been smoother, and BioShock 2 just kinda sucked [here's lookin' at you New Vegas], Infinite is just about the perfect way to make a game for EVERYONE. [Well, either that Far Cry 3, or Ni No Kuni]
6. I prefer BioShock. Don't get me wrong I've dumped my fair share [somewhere between 3 to 5 thousand hours across various platforms through ALL the Fallout games.] into Fallout, it's just I could spend that much time THEORIZING about what BioShock is really about. [Especially with how mindblowing the ending to Infinite was.] And while Fallout are spectacular games, I kinda just feel like Bethesda painted a Post-Apocalyptic face on Oblivion.

Michael said it pretty well, i enjoyed all 3 series but in my preference, it would be Mass Effect at #1, perfect shooter and rpg elements. Then Fallout 3, freeroam world awesome atmosphere, then Bioshock at #3. Its a good series but its not as good as the previous 2.

1. I like Fallout better. I like the open world in Fallout, but even though I don't hate linear levels per se, Bioshock feels to limited when it comes to level design.
2. Again, Fallout! The Fallout games just has so much content in it, and you can do whatever you want just about. I never played too much of Bioshock, but I played enough to know what it's about, and I don't play linear shooters too much.
3. I never played Bioshock, so I won't be too critical. However, Bioshock might be the winner of the battle of the stories.
4. Fallout! I like playing wasteland games, and Fallout gives more of a wasteland survivor feeling. There ain't nothing that scares me more than fighting Super Mutants, Feral Ghouls, and Death Claws. I used to like the atmosphere of Bioshock, when it was about an underwater city that is about blacked out. I look at the atmosphere of Bioshock Infinite and automatically think of the country song "Everybody Wants to Go to Heaven." OK! That was a joke, but I didn't like the atmosphere of Infinite as much as the others.
5. As of right now, the Bioshock series, though that's because of Bioshock Infinite. Bethesda hasn't released a Fallout game since New Vegas.
6. The Fallout series!
