My dog has Mastitis. Help please?
My dog was has mastitis, we took her to the vet and she is on antibiotics. However, one of the nipples is still swollen and hard. It is producing milk, but it is thicker than the milk of the other nipples. It is white, doesn't have an odor, and the area is not hot or red. She doesn't complain either.
The question is is the thicker milk a problem or just something that needs to be flushed out?

And your question is what exactly?
EDIT: The thicker milk isn't a problem, as long as your vet agrees, the pups can still nurse from the teat and by doing so it will help her mastitis.
Follow your vets advice and stay on top of it to make sure it doesn't spread

I would give your vet a ring if you are concerned. They wont mind and it will put your mind at rest
