I have satellite( the park im in provides it) is there something I can get so I can record shows?

    Yes, though what you can get will depend on your provider and the services you are allowed to add onto your satellite.

    In the US, the FCC regulates the use of a device called a CableCard. CableCards are often rented or leased from the satellite or cable company. They are compatible with Ceton and TiVo devices. You need to make sure your park allows you to rent or lease a CableCard first. Also realize TiVo and Cetons are investments, they aren't exactly cheap.

    Note:

    While cable companies are regulated to FCC's CableCard regulations, not all satellite and iptv companies are. That's why you'll need to research if you are able to before you invest in alternative devices.
