What is the best foundation makeup?

I have tried so many different foundations I have yet to find the perfect one. I am looking for one that doesn't make my face look dry and most of the ones I use look cakey even when I use moisturizer and primer before applying. I also don't feel like spending a lot of money on it either and also wonder if there are any that lasts all day without sliding off when it is hot outside.

Its pretty easy to find a foundation that doesn't cake or slide off so maybe your doing something wrong? Even the most high quality makeup can't look good without the proper skin prep. If you put on too much moisturizer or primer then it will actually hurt your makeup. It can cause caking especially if your using powder and also can cause the makeup to slide off. Make sure after you moisturizer that your face doesn't feel oily, greasy, or slippery at all. It should feel smooth and natural. Then apply your primer but make sure that also doesn't make your face feel slick. A common mistake that people do with primer is just using too much. It shouldn't make your face slippery and should make your face just feel moisturized and natural like you don't have anything on. Also, most drugstore primers i have used in the past just didn't work well at all and some made my face cakey, dry, or just didn't even make a difference. So maybe one day you can use your primer on only one side of your face to see what difference it makes. Also try exfoliating your face with a facial scrub brush to get rid of dead and dry skin. And use a nightly facial moisture cream to help with the dry look. A makeup that I have used in the past that NEVER slid off was Revlon Colorstay and i live where it get 100+ degrees so it definitely worked. They have it in normal/dry skin formula and oily/combination skin formula so make sure to get the dry skin formula. Any makeup will look cakey if you use too much. If you need more coverage then use concealer or a full coverage foundation rather than just using more foundation. And putting a lot of powder on top of foundation will also make you look cakey. I know you don't want to spend much money but M.A.C. Cosmetics has a spray called fix+ spray that will stop makeup from looking cakey and can also help the look of dryness.

Rimmel Clean Finish Foundation. I sweat throughout the day on my face and at the end of the day my makeup still looks pretty fresh...and it minimizes your pores too and has good coverage.

i take advantage of bare Escentuals and prefer it. I desire i could have got here across this line even as i replaced into in extreme college. bare Escentuals performance is incredibly dependant on the brushes that you take advantage of. I actual have zits often times and discover that a good conceler brush used over those parts makes my blemishes unnoticable. i don't think of this is water-resistant yet i does very last in the time of most of the day with a mild sweep of the veil the following and there. good success
