Why is my 2011 Camry shuddering?
When the car is idling and I turn the Air Conditioner on, the car starts to vibrate/shudder. I've noticed the RPMs drop to about 600 when this happens.
Turn the A/C off and it returns to normal. Never did this before ; just started this spring. The car has been serviced by Toyota as per schedule.
Any ideas???

the computer is supposed to kick the idle up when the air conditioning gets turned on at idle. It is probably a bad sensor just don't turn the air on when your idling iuntil you get it in the shop and ask them to fix it.
The idle is too low and the engine does not have enough power to run the AC too at idle. This can be fixed but it needs to be done at a dealer most likely.
