Any good user friendly FREE sites to find adopted daughter?
My friend has asked for my help in trying to locate the daughter she gave up for adoption in 1967. I have searched the internet, but have found a lot of sites that are not very user friendly. Of course, most sites are asking for a fee. I have never done this before and would like some suggestions on where to start. To me it seems like an insurmountable task...but maybe someone has done this before with success that can give me a place to start...Thanks in Advance

If you can tell us in which State or Country you were born, then a more specific answer and help can be given.
Please don't be put off by folk who tell you that people don't want to be found; of course we all consider this, but it's largely untrue and of course, adoptees/mothers are just as capable of being discreet and considerate as anyone else - to imply otherwise is really insulting.
You may just put someones mind at rest and bring peace - this was a huge factor in my own search (to let my natural family know I was OK) I just could not imagine what it must be like to go through life never knowing what became of a child you gave birth to . . ..
Best of luck and persevere
