Not familar with Florida, where should my friend look?
A friend accepted a position in N. Miami Beach. She is looking for a 2 br rental in a safe neighborhood that's cosmopolitan, affordable -- $1,300 or less -- and isn't a far commute to her new job. Any suggestions on the areas she should concentrate on?

While I grew-up and lived in Ft. Lauderdale for a long time, it's been a long time since I was there. The best suggestion I can give you would be to check with the Chamber of Commerce there. Depending on her actual work location, Hollywood might be an option.
