Ramadan: Muslims, Physical benefits of Salat (Prayers)?

Can you tell the body changes that take place in last 10 days of Ramadan human body (very briefly)?

Yes, most people gain weight.

Diabetics must avoid morning medication. Not seen anyone (Diabetic) die of fasting in my 35+ of medical practise, including heart patients.

Great Zephyr, now write down about increased flow to brain (memory enhancement) & Digestive system & sinus drainage, Respiratory system. I don't expect thesis, only salient which we must know.

It prevents stagnation of blood reducing chances of heart problem DVT, early senile changes, Muscles are are relaxed. You can keep on writing on liver, kidneys (flushes out blood) and so on.

    Hadhrat Luqman's (alaihis salaam) quoted:

    "With Fasting during the whole Blessed month of Ramadan, the Mumin's stomach is not fully satiated, thus fikr (alertness, intelligence) does not get stunted, wisdom does not get dumb and the limbs do not become lazy to perform ibadat and to receive the first ten days of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala's Mercy, the second ten days for forgiveness and the last ten days for freedom from jahannum."

    Some examples of Salaat benefits to the body:

    . Posture Niyyah: body relieved of weigh owing to even distribution on both feet, straightening back improves posture, muscles of upper and lower back are loosened.

    . Posture Qiyaam: extends concentration and further relaxation of legs and back, the sound vibrations at the long vowel a i and u stimulate the heart, thyroid pineal gland, pituary, adrenal glands, lungs purifying and uplifting them all.

    . Posture Ruku: fully stretches muscles at lower back, thighs an calves, blood is pumped into upper torso, tone muscles of stomach and abdomen.

    . Posture Qauma: fresh blood that moved up into torso in previous posture returns to original state carrying away toxins, body retains relaxation and releases tension.

    . Posture Sajda: stomach muscles develop and prevent flabbiness in mid-section, increase flow of blood in head, reduces high blood pressure, increases elesticity of joints.

    There are probably benefits, and these are some from logical thinking (rather than checking with scientists).

    1. Your body does not focus on digesting food-rather other systems are focused on-so your body get's rebalanced

    2. Getting rid of lies, gossiping and all that will alter the brain. this causes you to be more relaxed and peaceful
