Do they put you in jail for burglary?

Do they consider burglary a serious crime in Italy? I guess they don't have anything valuable in their houses, so it would be like shoplifting.

Amanda Knox's apartment was the 4th break-in Rudy Guede had done in about a month. When he got in he discovered Amanda's housemate there alone, then he Raped and Murdered Meredith.

I would think that he should already be in jail after the first 3 break-ins, and he would be in jail on November 1st. Therefore Meredith should still be alive.

Update:

Notice that the guilter did not actually answer the question. He accused me of being crazy. When Rudy was stabbing Meredith, the Perugia cops had knowledge of his 3 recent burglaries, but they waited for the German police to arrest him.

Are the Italian police indirectly responsible for Kercher's murder?

If you have broken into 3 places in 1 month, yes. Provided you live in a civilized country.

Rudy Guede was an associate of the police there. He was an informant who was a valuble source of information on the local drug trade.

If this happened in America, this Black man would have been in Jail on the night that he killed Meredith, and she would be alive now.

In order to save face Mignini needed to see to it that Rudy did not do this crime Himself, so the police found 3 other people to blame it on.

The burglar (doesn't matter who it is) has no intention of getting caught. The fact that he was only on his 4th tells me that he was an amateur. Very, very few burglars get caught in the act, and even if they do are not automatically held in prison awaiting trial for 12 months without there being other charges involved.
