YA never tells me the question I answered so how can I respond properly. It just tells me what I said.

Go to your profile, and look for your "Activity Details". They say things like
You voted for a best answer 1 point (1 minute ago) ... Question
Your answer was chosen as best 10 points (5 minutes ago) ... Question
You're looking for the one
You received a violation -10 points (___ minutes ago) .. .*** and there's a link to the question there.

You don't violate a question. You post an answer which is a violation of the guidelines.
It's in the dang email. Just read it.
